National Day of Action

National
Day of Action is our campaign’s annual observance and is held during
the month of November, which is American Diabetes Month®. Through
National Day of Action, we aim to mobilize medical groups and health
systems across the country to take action to improve care for people
                        living with diabetes.

For our fifth and final National Day of Action, we asked campaign participants assemble their diabetes team for a final, celebratory T2G Talk & Taste. This year, we shared the T2G Campaign Highlights Video and encouraged groups to recognize exceptional staff and celebrate their accomplishments throughout the campaign. We are pleased to share that 200 sites participated through in-person and virtual events this year! For our fourth annual National Day of Action, we brought back the
concept of the T2G Talk & Taste, asking campaign participants to
assemble their diabetes teams and discuss diabetes care over a
healthy meal. This year, more than 300 healthcare professionals from
32 groups nationwide conducted T2G Talk & Taste events. This year’s
                              events featured
                              Q&A videos from T2G
                              Plank Mentors,
sharing best practices for campaign plank implementation. Leveraging
the T2G Talk & Taste kit, groups discussed applications from the
videos at their own organization and recognized high-performing team
members. For more information about the reach and impact of this

Together 2 Goal® brought our third annual National Day of Action
directly to our participating medical groups and health systems. On
November 8, 2018, we activated more than 200 healthcare
professionals from nearly 30 groups nationwide to assemble
their diabetes teams and conduct T2G Talk & Taste
events. During these events, participants watched a
two-minute T2G video and discussed its application with their teams
over a healthy breakfast or lunch. Leveraging the T2G Talk &
Taste kit, groups brainstormed ways to fine-tune their diabetes
office visits, discussed strategies to empower patients, and
                              recognized high-performing team members.
